Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali visited Kalma Chowk, Tehsil Office Road, Kabli Gate and Chhatri Chowk in Khushab and reviewed in detail the ongoing beautification works being carried out under the Punjab Development Programme. Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr Jahanzeb Hussain Labar also accompanied him.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Dr Jahanzeb Hussain Labar and ADCMS Zaryab Sajid briefed the Commissioner about the ongoing beautification works, their progress and various aspects of the development plan.
Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali also visited Kabli Gate and Chhatri Chowk, where he sought the views of representatives of the Traders’ Association and shopkeepers regarding the beautification plan. The traders and shopkeepers appreciated Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s beautification initiative and lauded the efforts of the district administration.
The Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to pay special attention to the quality of construction materials and workmanship being used in the beautification projects. He made it clear that no compromise on the quality of development and beautification schemes would be tolerated.
He ordered the concerned officers to complete the ongoing beautification works under the Punjab Development Programme within the stipulated timeframe. He further directed that daily monitoring and an effective system of checks and balances be ensured throughout the execution of the projects.
Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali also directed the Deputy Commissioner Khushab to regularly supervise the ongoing works under the beautification plan and ensure their timely completion.
He said that the timely completion of development and beautification projects being executed under Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Punjab Development Programme was among the priorities of the Punjab government. He directed the concerned officers to ensure quality, transparency and adherence to the prescribed timelines in the completion of all projects.
Assistant Commissioner Khushab Ummat-ul-Salam, ADCMS Zaryab Sajid and other relevant officers were also present on the occasion.
