A meeting regarding the Chief Minister Punjab Youth Games 2026 was held at the Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Ghazala Kanwal, Assistant Commissioner Khushab Ummat-ul-Salam, District Sports Officer Sajidullah Babar, Rescue 1122 In-charge Ali Hussain, officers of the Education and Special Education Departments, and coaches of cricket, hockey, badminton, volleyball and other sports attended the meeting.
District Sports Officer Sajidullah Babar briefed the Deputy Commissioner on preparations for the CM Punjab Youth Games 2026. He said the Punjab Chief Minister had taken important measures to promote sports across the province, adding that the Youth Games would provide young people with opportunities to showcase their talent and abilities.
He said work was underway in accordance with the Punjab Government’s directives regarding sports grounds and other facilities. The registration of young students, boys and girls, for different sports was also in progress with the cooperation of the School Education Department, colleges and universities.
Sajidullah Babar further informed the meeting that various sports events would be organized at the tehsil, district and division levels during October and November, while provincial-level competitions would be held in December.
He added that students who demonstrate outstanding performance and exceptional talent would also be recognized with awards and prizes at higher levels
