A meeting regarding Prime Minister of Pakistan’s Special Relief Scheme for a Rs100 per litre subsidy on petrol was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Social Services Ghazala Kanwal.
Assistant Commissioner Khushab Ummat-ul-Salam, DEO Industries Muhammad Abdullah, Excise and Taxation Officer Ehsan Qadir Majoqa, General Secretary of the Petroleum Association Nasir Nadeem Gujjar, Malik Imran, and owners of various petrol pumps across District Khushab attended the meeting.
During the meeting, ADC Social Services Ghazala Kanwal briefed representatives of the Petroleum Association about the Prime Minister’s Special Relief Scheme, under which a subsidy of Rs100 per litre would be provided on petrol. She said the subsidy would be ensured for motorcycles, rickshaws, cars, and tractor-trolleys under the scheme.
She directed petrol pump owners to display PM Relief Scheme information and banners prominently at their outlets. She further stated that individuals registered through 9771 would be considered eligible for the subsidy.
General Secretary of the Petroleum Association Nasir Nadeem Gujjar briefed the ADC on the current situation regarding petroleum products, supplies, stocks, and other related issues. He said petrol supply in District Khushab could be affected due to a reduction in the supply quota by oil companies, creating serious difficulties for petrol pump owners.
He added that the ongoing war situation and closure of routes had also affected the supply of petroleum products. The owners of petrol pumps appealed to the Deputy Commissioner Khushab to bring the matter to the attention of higher authorities and take measures to resolve their problems.
The petrol pump owners assured the district administration of their full cooperation in implementing the Prime Minister’s Special Relief Scheme and facilitating the public.
