In line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Open Door Policy, Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar heard the problems of citizens at the DC Office and issued necessary directions to the concerned departments for their prompt resolution. A number of applicants were present on the occasion.
Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar said that the doors of the DC Office are always open to everyone. Citizens should feel free to present their problems, as resolving public grievances on a priority basis is the foremost responsibility of the district administration.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Assistant Commissioner Khushab and officers of the concerned departments to ensure that no obstacle is allowed to hinder the resolution of citizens’ problems. He said that public grievances are being heard on a daily basis and that timely action on applications submitted by citizens must be ensured.
He further directed the relevant officers to submit reports on the progress and implementation of decisions taken on the applications submitted by the complainants. Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar made it clear that resolving citizens’ problems is the top priority of the district administration, while negligence, lethargy and dereliction of duty in any department will not be tolerated. All departments must perform their duties with a sense of responsibility and consider public service their foremost obligation.
