Renowned Radio Pakistan Sargodha programme “Shaheen Sargodha” featured IT expert and Chief Technology Officer of Web Care, Shabbir Hussain, and social activist Advocate Amir Umar Nadeem as special guests. Senior anchorperson Sabtain Baloch, host of the programme, held an in-depth discussion with the guests about their professional journeys, opportunities for youth in the IT sector, social responsibility, environmental protection and other related issues.
During the first part of the programme, Shabbir Hussain spoke about his early life and professional struggle, stating that despite difficult circumstances, he began his journey from scratch. He explained that after gaining six years of professional experience in Dubai and continuing his efforts with dedication and hard work, he eventually established a renowned IT company and expanded its operations by setting up offices in Islamabad and Dubai.
The discussion also covered opportunities available to young people in the IT sector, modern technology, practical skills, freelancing, web development and access to the global digital market. Shabbir Hussain urged young people not to limit themselves to obtaining academic degrees but also to acquire practical and professional skills in line with modern requirements.
Advocate Amir Umar Nadeem also shared details of his early life and professional struggle. Both guests emphasized that through consistency, hard work and determination, young people can utilize their abilities, achieve their goals and establish themselves in various fields, including information technology.
The second part of the programme focused on climate change, plantation and the “Green Earth” initiative. The guests explained that “Green Earth” is a social and environmental initiative through which free plants are being provided to citizens to encourage maximum public participation in plantation activities and contribute to making the surrounding environment greener.
The guests stressed that plantation should not be limited to merely planting a tree; proper care, regular watering and protection of plants are equally important. The discussion also highlighted the importance of trees in urban areas and the need to make plantation a sustained collective activity in view of rising temperatures, pollution and the effects of climate change.
The guests said that if every citizen commits to planting at least one tree according to their capacity, protecting it and encouraging others to participate in plantation activities, significant improvements can be achieved at the collective level. They also emphasized the need for young people, educational institutions and civic organizations to play an active role in environmental protection.
At the conclusion of the programme, the guests expressed their commitment to continuing efforts to promote initiatives aimed at empowering youth through IT and protecting the environment through “Green Earth.” They appealed to every individual to play their role in national development, youth guidance and environmental protection according to their abilities, knowledge and available resources.
