Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain has expressed the government’s commitment to bringing the agriculture sector in line with international standards, with a focus on improving the quality of research.
Talking to the media after inaugurating the Central Plant Quarantine Laboratory in Karachi, Rana Tanveer Hussain said the Prime Minister is taking an interest in the development of the agriculture sector, as it is the backbone of the national economy.
Rana Tanveer Hussain underscored the need to safeguard farmers’ interests, improve agricultural standards and ensure that the country’s agriculture sector benefits from effective regulation and modern testing facilities.
