Sindh budget for the next financial year, with a total outlay of 3,562 billion rupees, was presented today.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah presented the budget in the Provincial Assembly.

The Chief Minister announced that no new tax has been imposed in the budget.

He proposed a seven percent increase in salaries and pensions and the merger of the ad hoc allowances of 2022 and 2025 into the basic pay of government employees.

The Chief Minister also announced an increase in the minimum wage from forty thousand rupees to forty-three thousand rupees per month.

An amount of 620 billion rupees has been earmarked for the education sector.

He announced that free home solar systems will be distributed among 275,000 households at a cost of eighteen billion rupees.

Meanwhile, Balochistan budget for the next financial year was also presented in the assembly today with a total outlay of 1,089 billion rupees.

Presenting the budget in the House, Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani said 797 billion rupees have been allocated for non-development expenditure, while 206 billion rupees have been earmarked for development expenditure in the budget.

He said 45 billion rupees have been allocated for federally funded projects, while 40 billion rupees have been allocated for foreign project assistance.

The provincial finance minister said over 127 billion rupees have been allocated for the school education sector.
