On the directions of District Police Officer (DPO) Khushab, Dr. Ammara Shirazi, Khushab Police have finalized foolproof security arrangements for Youm-e-Ashura and have devised a comprehensive security plan to ensure peace and public safety.

According to the plan, a total of 65 mourning processions will be held across District Khushab on Youm-e-Ashura, including 5 Category-A processions, 4 Category-B processions, and 56 Category-C processions. In addition, 38 religious gatherings (Majalis) will take place throughout the district.

More than 1,200 police officers and personnel, including district police, the Elite Force, and women police officers, will perform security duties during the observance of Youm-e-Ashura. Furthermore, around 100 traffic police officers and personnel will be deployed to manage traffic and ensure smooth movement on designated routes. The police will also receive assistance from the Pakistan Army.

To strengthen security, personnel will be deployed on rooftops along procession routes, while all entry and exit points will be secured with barricades, barbed wire, and temporary enclosures. The routes of the processions will also be monitored live through Safe City surveillance cameras.

Following the directives of DPO Dr. Ammara Shirazi, a three-tier security system has been implemented for the protection of all processions. Additionally, 1,100 trained volunteers, provided by the procession organizers and trained by Khushab Police, will work alongside police personnel to conduct thorough security checks and assist in maintaining law and order during the events.
