A delegation of journalists led by Saith Samar Sultan, President of the Noorpur Thal Press Club, paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Assistant Commissioner Noorpur Thal, Shazia Rehman, at her office.
During the meeting, both sides held a detailed discussion on the major civic issues facing Noorpur Thal, including the water supply system, sewerage network, filtration plants, sanitation, and other essential public services.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Shazia Rehman said that public welfare would remain her top priority. She assured the delegation that all available resources would be utilized to address the city’s problems in a phased and effective manner. She emphasized that close coordination between the administration and the media is essential for good governance and sustainable development.
She further stated that the media plays a vital role in the development and progress of any region. Responsible and constructive journalism not only highlights public issues but also contributes significantly to finding practical solutions. She called upon the journalist community to continue extending its positive cooperation for the betterment of the area.
On behalf of the journalist community, Press Club President Seth Samar Sultan assured the Assistant Commissioner of the media’s full support. He said that the Noorpur Thal Press Club would continue to play its constructive role in promoting public welfare, positive journalism, and the overall development of the region.
