Radio Pakistan FM 101 Sargodha organized a special awareness session in its program “Shaheen Sargodha” to educate the public about birth registration, marriage registration, and death certificates.

The guest speaker was Muhammad Akhtar Hayat, Assistant Director Operations, NADRA Regional Head Office Sargodha. He highlighted the importance of timely birth registration and explained that essential documents such as the hospital birth certificate, parents’ Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs), photographs, and the child’s vaccination card are required for the registration process. He emphasized that delays in birth registration can lead to legal and administrative complications in the future.

Muhammad Akhtar Hayat also discussed the procedure for marriage registration, outlining the responsibilities of the Nikah Registrar, the requirement for both spouses’ CNICs, and the importance of submitting accurate records to the Union Council. Speaking about death registration, he stressed that failure to register births, marriages, or deaths on time can create difficulties in matters related to property ownership, inheritance, bank accounts, and other legal affairs. He urged citizens to ensure that all vital records are registered accurately and without delay.

During the program, listeners participated through telephone calls and asked various questions, which were answered in detail by Muhammad Akhtar Hayat.
