Pakistan’s Women’s Netball Team have reached the final of the Asian Netball Championship 2026 Plate Division, defeating Japan 53-25 in the semi-final of the ongoing tournament in Hong Kong — delivering the win as a gift to the nation on the eve of Independence Day.
The ‘Green Shirts’ put in a commanding display, showing excellent teamwork, discipline, and determination throughout the match to book their place in the final. Saba Noor Anwar, Lia Raza Shah, Hina Chaudhry, Sarina Naseem, Jasmine, Farah, Noor-ul-Ain, and Samaya Safdar were among the standout performers.
Pakistan Netball Federation Chairman Zafar Iqbal Awan, President Malik Amin Khan, and Secretary Muhammad Riaz congratulated the players, coaching staff, and officials on the achievement, and wished the team success in the final.
The Federation also extended its gratitude to the team’s official sponsors, JS Bank and VLEAD Inc., for their valuable support in promoting netball in Pakistan.
Pakistan will play Thailand in the final of the Asian Netball Championship 2026 Plate Division on Saturday, August 15.
