Pakistan’s Women’s Netball Team have won the Asian Netball Championship 2026 Plate Division, defeating Thailand 55-50 in the final of the ongoing tournament in Hong Kong — capping the campaign with the title on the occasion of Independence Day.
With the title, Pakistan have also qualified for the Cup Division of the next Asian Netball Championship, to be held in Singapore in 2028.
The ‘Green Shirts’ delivered a commanding performance throughout the final, showing excellent teamwork, discipline, and determination to seal the win. Saba Noor Anwar, Maya, Lia Raza Shah, Hina Chaudhry, Sarina Naseem, Jasmine, Farah, Noor-ul-Ain, and Samaya Safdar were among the standout performers.
Pakistan Netball Federation Chairman Zafar Iqbal Awan, President Malik Amin Khan, and Secretary Muhammad Riaz congratulated the players, coaching staff, and officials on this outstanding achievement.
The Federation also extended its gratitude to the team’s official sponsors, JS Bank and VLEAD Inc., for their valuable support in promoting netball in Pakistan.
