A ceremony organized by the Livestock Department was held at the office of the Deputy Director Livestock, Zaman Colony, Joharabad, with Parliamentary Secretary for Livestock Sardar Asim Sher Maken as the chief guest.

Director Livestock Sajid Iqbal and Deputy Director Livestock Tanveer Ashraf Kalyar warmly welcomed the chief guest, showered him with flower petals, and presented him with a bouquet. The ceremony formally commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran.

Parliamentary Secretary for Livestock Sardar Asim Sher Maken inaugurated the newly established animal operation theatre at the Civil Veterinary Hospital, Joharabad. He also inspected the facilities being provided at the operation theatre in detail.

Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Asim Sher Maken said that, on the directives of the Punjab Chief Minister, veterinary hospitals have been established at divisional, district and tehsil levels across the province. He said the establishment of operation theatres at district and tehsil-level veterinary hospitals was an excellent and exemplary initiative that would provide livestock farmers with improved veterinary services at their doorstep.

He added that various surgical procedures would be performed on animals at these operation theatres, helping ensure the timely diagnosis and treatment of diseases and contributing to the development of the livestock sector.

Sardar Asim Sher Maken further said that the Punjab Chief Minister had introduced several important initiatives, including the Livestock Card and the Calf Rearing Scheme, for the development of the livestock sector and the welfare of livestock farmers.
Speaking at the ceremony, MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, MPA Malik Muhammad Asif Bhá and other political leaders expressed their views on the development of the livestock sector and the provision of better facilities to farmers and livestock owners.

Director Livestock Sajid Iqbal and Deputy Director Livestock Tanveer Ashraf Kalyar briefed the participants in detail about the facilities being provided to farmers and livestock owners by the Livestock Department, the establishment of veterinary hospitals, and other initiatives undertaken by the department.

The ceremony was attended by MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, MPA Malik Muhammad Asif Bhá, Sardar Sajid Khan Baloch, Coordinator to MPA Sardar Zafar Khan Baloch, former Senator Dr. Ghaus Muhammad Khan Niazi, Pir Musaib Shah, Rashida Parveen, Dr. Waseem Abbas, Dr. Malik Mukhtar Awan, Rai Shafqat Ali, officers and officials of the Livestock Department, senior journalist Arshad Bhutta, other media representatives, and a large number of farmers and livestock owners.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Livestock Department reaffirmed its commitment to providing better veterinary treatment for animals and modern veterinary facilities to livestock farmers.
