Pakistan has achieved another moment of pride on the global academic stage as Arshad Abbas, son of Muhammad Iqbal Baghur, has been selected as Pakistan’s only Section Leader from among candidates representing 70 countries for Stanford University’s first-ever Probability for Artificial Intelligence course in the United States.
More than 2,700 candidates from around the world applied for the global academic programme, of whom only over 500 were selected as Section Leaders. Arshad Abbas Baghur’s selection as the sole representative from Pakistan is a great honour for the country and a source of immense pride for the Baghur family.
Arshad Abbas’s journey from a self-directed learning background to the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning, ultimately reaching Stanford University, is a remarkable example of hard work, continuous learning, determination, dedication and unwavering faith in his goals.
Family members, the Baghur community, and public, social, educational and academic circles have expressed their happiness over Arshad Abbas Baghur’s outstanding achievement and extended their heartfelt congratulations to him. They said that his success is not only a matter of pride for the Baghur family but also for the entire country, while serving as an inspiring example for Pakistan’s talented youth.
