Pakistan’s seasoned fast bowler Mohammad Abbas has achieved a major milestone in his cricketing career by claiming 800 wickets in first-class cricket.
The right-arm pacer reached the landmark while playing for English county side Nottinghamshire, dismissing Somerset’s Josh Davey to complete his 800th scalp. Remarkably, Abbas achieved this feat in his 199th first-class appearance, underscoring his consistency and longevity in the longer format of the game.
Mohammad Abbas has also made significant contributions at the international level. He has taken 100 wickets in just 27 Test matches for Pakistan and has also featured in three One-Day Internationals.
Abbas’s achievement places him among a distinguished group of bowlers with sustained excellence in red-ball cricket, both domestically and abroad.
