
Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi inaugurated new rake of Railcar in Rawalpindi today.
Speaking on the occasion, he said nine coaches have been added to the railcar.
The Minister said 400 new coaches will be included in railways by the end of this year.
He said efforts are being made to bring railways on modern lines while transparency is being insured in the system.
He said Islamabad Margalla Railway Station will be expanded and connected with Metro Bus Station at the 9th Avenue.
The Minister said modern scanners are being installed while VIP lounges will also be opened at the main railway stations.
He said provision of best facilities to passengers is top priority of the government.
Hanif Abbas said we are going to uplift Rohri Railway Station at a cost of eight hundred million rupees in collaboration with the Sindh Government.
He said the upgradation work of Narowal and Faisalabad Railway Stations is underway and will be completed soon.
Regarding Pak-Saudi defense agreement, he said this will be beneficial for Pakistan Railways as well
