Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan is committed to further amplifying the voices of the developing world and advancing peace through justice and dialogue.

Addressing the Inter Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference in Islamabad today, he said Pakistan’s foreign policy is firmly anchored in the principles of the UN charter, sovereign equality, peaceful settlement of disputes, non-interference and friendly relations amongst the countries.

He said dialogue has always been Pakistan’s preferred instrument for stability and progress. He said we have consistently advocated for regional cooperation, conflict prevention and equitable development as the foundations of a peaceful world order. He said our commitment to multilateralism reflects Pakistan’s enduring belief that dialogue not discord must define the humanity’s future.

The Deputy Prime Minister said Pakistan has been a bulwark against the menace of terrorism. He said Pakistan categorically rejects acts of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Referring to the heinous acts of terrorism that took place in Islamabad and Wana, Ishaq Dar said these cowardly acts will never shake or weaken our national resolve to deal with this menace.
