In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), the shrine of a Sufi saint was gutted in fire in Nowshera, area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official said that fire engulfed the shrine of Syed Sakhi (RA) and within a short span of time razed the structure, mainly built of wood, to ashes.

Cause of the fire was however not immediately known.
