Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says the life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is a role model for entire humanity to promote peace and harmony in the world.

Addressing the concluding ceremony of two-day international Seerat-un-Nabi Conference in Islamabad on Sunday, he said Hazrat Muhammad Rasool Allah Khatam un Nabiyeen Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alayhee Wa Ashabehi Wassalam set up a model of brotherhood in Madina.

The Minister said Hazrat Muhammad promoted honesty in the society even when he was facing worst enmity from opponents.

Ishaq Dar said at the conquest of Makkah the Holy Prophet (PBUH) established a glowing example of peace, mercy and forgiveness in the world.

He said fundamentals of Charter of Madina were peace, law and order, freedom of religion and business and curbing anarchy.

The Minister said our government introduced income support program which later was termed as Benazir Income Support Programme. He said government will ensure transparency in this program.

He urged the political parties to set aside politics and take steps for the welfare of people suffering due to floods. He said the government has already announced many programs for the assistance of flood victims.   

Commenting on political wrangling in the country, Ishaq Dar said nobody will be allowed to launch an assault on the national capital of Pakistan. He said government will foil any conspiracy against the law and order of the capital.

It is particular to mention that various processions were taken out in the twin cities to celebrate Eid-Milad-un-Nabi. Government and private buildings were decorated with colorful lights and buntings.
