The Executive Committee of Special Investment Facilitation Council has finalized plans to resolve issues related to Agriculture, Information Technology, Minerals and Energy.
This was stated at the 5th two-day meeting of the committee, which began in Islamabad today with Planning Minister Sami Saeed in the chair.
The committee also expressed the commitment to resolve key impediments to investment environment in the country, besides adding new projects to the forum.
The meeting is aimed to review the measures being undertaken for improving investment ecosystem, overcoming macroeconomic challenges and stimulating economic growth.
The relevant ministries presented progress on various aspects including policy level interventions to be undertaken in short, medium and long term to yield the desired dividends. After healthy debate, the Committee formulated workable options, by drawing consensus among stakeholders.
Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Dr Jehanzeb Khan and the relevant Federal and Provincial Ministers and high level government officials attended the meeting.
