Minister for Finance Dr Shamshad Akhtar has stressed on need of global action to accelerate investment in SDGs while tackling debt distress in developing economies.

She was virtually addressing the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development titled Development Finance for 2030 Agenda:  Environmentally Safe Industrialization, held in Geneva.

In her keynote speech, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar highlighted that Pakistan has adopted an ambitious Nationally Determined Contribution plan to cut Greenhouse gases emissions by 50 percent, while SBP and SECP have issued guidelines for the adoption of Green Industry practices.
