World AIDS Day is being observed today to create awareness about the disease.

According to World Health Organization, the theme of this year is ‘let communities lead’.

President Dr. Arif Alvi and Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar in their messages on World AIDS Day have urged all stakeholders to create awareness about the HIV/AIDs to prevent its spread.

In his message, President Dr. Arif Alvi has said the day reminds that ending the epidemic requires collective efforts to reach even the most marginalized populations and improve the outreach of health services.

In his message, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar while expressing government’s resolve to combat HIV-AIDS in the country, has underscored the need to synergize efforts for an AIDS-free Pakistan.
