Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has reaffirmed the government’s determination to ensure free and transparent elections in the country.

Talking to media persons in Multan today on the occasion of inauguration of 24 hour transmission of PTV Multan Center, he said it is the people who will take their decisions in the elections.

He said that media is free and equal coverage is being given to all political parties on state media. Murtaza Solnagi said PTV Multan Center should become the voice of the people in resolving the decade’s long real issues of this area.

He said PTV Multan center will on air regional, cultural, music, literature, current affair and programs for kids and women in its 24 hour continuous transmission.

The Minister recalled that he launched Saraiki News Bulletins at regional level from Radio Pakistan, Islamabad during his tenure as Director General, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation and the the Prime Minister Syed Yusouf Raza Gillani read the first Saraiki news bulletin.

Murtaza Solangi said PTV transmission can be watched in fifty countries abroad with terrestrial and cable network in the country.
