The closing ceremony of the 7th Chief of the Naval Staff Open Shooting Championship took place at the Pakistan Navy Shooting Range, PNS Bahadur, in Karachi.

The Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

The Pakistan Navy team clinched the title of the CNS Open Shooting Championship 2023 with an impressive tally of 35 gold, 17 silver, and 13 bronze medals.  Meanwhile, the team from Sindh secured the second position.

Approximately 400 shooters from across Pakistan participated in this week-long championship.

Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, presented medals and trophies to the winners.  Speaking on the occasion, he acknowledged the efforts of organizers, sponsors, and sports shooters from all over Pakistan in making the championship a success.

The championship featured a total of 27 matches, including categories for men, women, and youth, with 11 for men, 5 for women, and 4 for youth.

To promote the sport of shooting and engage local shooting enthusiasts, special matches in Big Bore Pistol and Big Bore Rifle categories for youth were also organized.

Teams from Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force, Federal Rifle Association, Sindh Rifle Association, Punjab Rifle Association, Balochistan Rifle Association, HEC, WAPDA, Pakistan Police, SSU, and various shooting clubs of Karachi, totaling around 400 shooters, participated in the matches.

The event was conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the International Sports Shooting Federation under the auspices of the National Rifle Association of Pakistan.
