Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed concerned departments to formulate a policy for export of pink salt and safety of mining workers.
Presiding over a meeting in Lahore on mineral sector in Lahore, she said pink salt is a treasure of the country and should be harnessed for foreign exchange.
It was decided to establish an industry for processing of pink salt and its value added products.
