Jeddah (Special Correspondent) Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) organized a solemn and dignified ceremony in Jeddah to commemorate the 17th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. A large number of party workers, leaders of other political parties, and notable social figures attended the event to pay tribute to the unparalleled services and sacrifices of Benazir Bhutto.

The event’s chief guest was Sardar Inayat Ullah Arif, former Advisor to the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Chaudhry Tasawwar Hussain, President of PPP Saudi Arabia, presided over the ceremony, while Haroon Bashir, a prominent political and social personality from Kashmir who was on an Umrah pilgrimage, participated as the guest of honor. The proceedings were efficiently hosted by Aftab Ahmed Turabi.

Speeches by Leaders: During the ceremony, speakers highlighted the relentless struggle and contributions of Benazir Bhutto for democracy and constitutional supremacy. Chaudhry Tasawwar Hussain, President of PPP Saudi Arabia, remarked that Benazir Bhutto devoted her life to restoring democracy and safeguarding constitutional values. Her sacrifices are an enduring beacon of hope, not only for Pakistan but for the entire Muslim world.

Sardar Inayat Ullah Arif emphasized that Benazir Bhutto’s martyrdom was an irreplaceable loss for Pakistan. He described her as a courageous and visionary leader who consistently stood against dictatorship and fought for the rights of the people.

Other speakers included Senior Vice President Malik Javed, President of Muslim Conference Sardar Ashfaq, Acting Convenor of the Kashmir Overseas Community Engineer Arif Mughal, Media Secretary of PML-N Chaudhry Ehsan Elahi Gujjar, President of PML-N Azad Kashmir Raja Shamroz, Sardar Mahtab Ahmed Khan, Hassan Qasim (Makkah), and Adeel Nafees (Madina), among others. They lauded Benazir Bhutto’s political legacy, stating that her sacrifices and vision have immortalized her as a leader in Pakistan’s history.

Participation of Notable Figures: The ceremony was also graced by the presence of other prominent personalities, including Sharif Zaman, Raja Riaz, Qasim Sindhi, Khalil Abdul Aziz, and Imran Raza, who also paid homage to the services of Benazir Bhutto.

Collective Prayer: The ceremony concluded with a collective prayer for Benazir Bhutto’s forgiveness and elevation of her ranks in the afterlife. Attendees pledged to continue her mission and to strive for democracy and constitutional supremacy in Pakistan.
