For India, Varun Chakravarthy was the standout bowler, claiming 5 wickets for 42 runs. Kuldeep Yadav took 2 wickets, while Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, and Ravindra Jadeja each took one wicket.
Earlier, in the match played at the Dubai Cricket Stadium, India, after being invited to bat by New Zealand, scored 249 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Shreyas Iyer was the top scorer for India with 79 runs, while Hardik Pandya contributed 45 and Axar Patel scored 42 runs. KL Rahul made 23, Ravindra Jadeja 16, captain Rohit Sharma 15, Virat Kohli 11, Mohammad Shami 5, Shubman Gill 2, and Kuldeep Yadav scored 1 run.
For New Zealand, Matt Henry was the leading bowler with 5 wickets. Mitchell Santner, Will Young, Kyle Jamieson, and Rachin Ravindra each took one wicket.
With this win, India, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa have all advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament.
