
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a warm and friendly telephone conversation with Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev today and conveyed Eid ul Fitr greetings and best wishes to him as well as the brotherly people of Kazakhstan.
During their telephonic conversation, the leaders reviewed the current state of bilateral relations, exchanged views on the upcoming engagements and discussed regional issues of mutual interest.
Expressing satisfaction with the growing trajectory of bilateral relationship, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in agriculture, economic, trade, investment, IT and connectivity spheres. They also appreciated the increased number of bilateral structured engagements between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
Both the leaders reaffirmed their commitment to expanding the cooperation between the two countries to its full potential.
While noting that a high level delegation from Kazakhstan would be visiting Pakistan in May, the Prime Minister said he is looking forward to the Kazakh President’s visit to Pakistan later this year and hoped that such exchanges would help strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also extended his warm wishes and greetings to his Malaysian counterpart Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the brotherly people of Malaysia on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
During a telephonic conversation today with his Malysian counterpart, the Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral ties and reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen bilateral cooperation with Malaysia.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim underscored the special significance attached by the Malaysia to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s upcoming visit to Kuala Lumpur in May this year. He said that preparations were under way to ensure the success of the visit.
The Prime Minister thanked his Malaysian counterpart and said that he was looking forward to his visit and hoped that it would result in mutually beneficial outcomes for both sides.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov today to exchange greetings and best wishes on Eid ul Fitr.
He also extended Eid greetings to Turkmen National Leader and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as well as to the brotherly Turkmen people.
The Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction at the warm and friendly ties between the two countries and said it is encouraging to see the positive momentum of the bilateral relationship.
The Prime Minister reiterated his cordial invitation to the Turkmen President and the Turkmen National Leader to undertake official visits to Pakistan at their earliest convenience.
Similarly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Bahrain King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa today and extended his warm greetings and best wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Highlighting the historic fraternal ties between the two countries, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong desire to further expand the close and cordial relations with Bahrain across all areas of mutual interest, particularly in trade and investment. He expressed his gratitude to the King and the Government of Bahrain for looking after the Pakistani community living in the Kingdom, who is contributing to the national development of both countries.
King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa warmly reciprocated the Prime Minister’s Eid greetings and conveyed his best wishes for the people of Pakistan on this joyous occasion.
Shehbaz Sharif renewed his most cordial invitation to the King to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his earliest convenience which was graciously accepted.
