Pakistan started their tour of the West Indies on a high note, defeating the hosts by 14 runs in the first T20 International to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. All-rounder Saim Ayub starred with both bat and ball, earning the Player of the Match award for his standout performance.

After winning the toss, West Indies opted to field first at the Lauderhill Stadium. Pakistan lost opener Sahibzada Farhan early for 14, but Saim Ayub steadied the innings with a composed knock of 57 runs. He was well supported by Fakhar Zaman, who contributed 28, and Hasan Nawaz, who chipped in with 24 runs.

Pakistan posted a competitive total of 178 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.

In reply, the West Indies openers provided a solid start but failed to convert it into a match-winning partnership. After their dismissals, the middle and lower order crumbled under pressure, allowing Pakistan to tighten their grip on the match.

From the bowling side, Mohammad Nawaz impressed with 3 wickets, while Saim Ayub further shone with the ball, claiming 2 wickets. Sufiyan Muqeem and Shaheen Afridi picked up a wicket each to restrict the hosts.

With this win, Pakistan go 1-0 up in the T20I series, gaining early momentum. The next two matches promise to be exciting as the teams battle for series supremacy.
