Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed to celebrate the 79th Independence Day with unprecedented enthusiasm in the province.
In a statement, Senior Minister of Punjab Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the Marka-e-Haq victory this year has united the nation.
She said that a competition for the most beautiful illumination of bazars is being held as part of the celebrations and the market decorated most beautifully will be awarded prize.
She said that there will also be a competition for Independence Day floats, with prizes for the best floats and the most impressive lighting display.
