The Grand Jirga of the Mehsud and Barki tribal elders was held in the Spinkai Raghzai area of South Waziristan.

Inspector General of the Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South) attended the Jirga as the chief guest.

During the Grand Jirga, the tribal elders paid rich tribute to the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Army and the Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South) for achieving lasting peace in the area.

They reiterated their commitment to cooperate with the security forces and stand shoulder to shoulder until the complete elimination of Fitna-Al Khwarij.

Addressing the Jirga, the Chief Guest appreciated the immense sacrifices of the tribal people in the fight against Fitna Al Khwarij. He emphasized the importance of keeping the younger generation away from the negative propaganda of anti-national elements.

He also appreciated and encouraged the services of local people who have demonstrated outstanding performance in various fields, describing their passion, hard work, and positive character as worthy of imitation for the region.

On this occasion, the IGFC assured the Mehsud tribes that work on their long-standing demand, the Gurbaz to Mangrotai road, would commence soon.

The tribal elders expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the Pakistan Army and the Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South) in promoting girl-child education and starting various development projects.
