In the second match of the ongoing tri-nation T20 series, Pakistan registered a convincing 31-run victory over the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

After winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bat first and posted an imposing total of 207 runs on the board, being bowled out on the final delivery of the 20th over. The innings was anchored by Saim Ayub, who top-scored with a brilliant 69 runs, while Hasan Nawaz contributed a solid 56. Mohammad Nawaz chipped in with a quick 25.

On the bowling front for UAE, Sagheer Khan and Junaid Siddique both claimed three wickets each, while Haider Ali took two.

Pakistan made two changes to their playing XI, resting key pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, while bringing in Hasan Ali and Salman Mirza.

In response, UAE put up a spirited fight but fell short, managing 176 for 8 in their 20 overs. Asif Khan was the standout performer for the hosts, blasting 77 runs with six fours and six sixes. Skipper Muhammad Waseem added 33, while Prashar contributed 15.

Pakistan’s bowling attack held firm, with Hasan Ali taking 3 wickets and Mohammad Nawaz grabbing 2. The fielding unit maintained pressure throughout, limiting UAE’s scoring opportunities in the final overs.

For his match-winning innings at the top of the order, Saim Ayub was named Player of the Match.

With this win, Pakistan strengthen their position in the tri-nation series, showcasing strong form ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
