With the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup and South Africa Women’s Cricket Team’s upcoming tour of Pakistan on the horizon, the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team is currently undergoing an intensive training camp at the National High Performance Centre in Lahore.

Despite rain affecting outdoor training activities, the sixth day of the camp saw the players actively participate in an extended indoor evening session. Under the supervision of Head Coach Mohammad Wasim, the squad focused on skill development with targeted indoor drills including batting, bowling, and fielding.

Special attention was also given to improving running between the wickets, with tailored drills designed to enhance speed and coordination. The coaching panel provided individual tips and guidance to players to further refine their technical abilities.

The indoor session lasted for three hours and was aimed at maintaining the players’ fitness and performance levels in the absence of outdoor practice opportunities due to the weather.

The training camp will continue in Lahore until September 11, forming a crucial part of the team’s preparations for both the bilateral series against South Africa and the ICC Women’s World Cup.

Cricket analysts believe that such consistent and structured preparation will play a vital role in building a competitive squad for the challenges ahead.
