On the special directive of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is continuing its relief operations in the flood-affected areas.

As part of ongoing efforts, NDMA has dispatched additional relief supplies to help the flood affected people in Punjab.

In coordination with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab, the NDMA has provided 1,000 tents for flood-affected families in Khanewal.

A consignment of 670 tents was dispatched from Sukkur in 13 trucks, while 330 tents were sent from NDMA’s central warehouse in Islamabad via 5 trucks to Khanewal.

So far, the NDMA has provided 2,270 tons of relief goods to Punjab, which include blankets, tents, mosquito nets, water filtration plants, quilts, folding beds, water cans, and 17 rescue boats.

In total, 36,000 tents have been provided by NDMA to help flood affected people across Punjab.

The authority is actively monitoring all ongoing flood relief activities being carried out by the concerned institutions.
