
Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider presented the Diwan Bahadur S.P. Singha Award 2025 to Khurshid Ahmad Nadeem, Chairman of the Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen Authority, in recognition of his work for minority rights and interfaith harmony.
The award was given for the joint publication “Islam aur Aqaliyatain”, authored by Khurshid Ahmad Nadeem and Dr. Riaz Mahmood, Professor at Allama Iqbal Open University. The book, published by the Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen Authority, discusses constitutional equality, minority rights, and interfaith harmony in Pakistan.
Addressing the ceremony, the Governor said the Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen and Khatam-un-Nabiyyin Authority has played a significant role in promoting interfaith respect, character-building and peace. He also mentioned the Authority’s minority clubs and educational initiatives.
Khurshid Ahmad Nadeem said that minority rights, justice and mutual respect are essential principles both in the religious and constitutional framework of Pakistan.
Scholars and social leaders congratulated Khurshid Ahmad Nadeem and Dr. Riaz Mahmood on receiving the award and said that the Authority is playing an important role in promoting education, ethics and social values.
