Pakistan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have signed two agreements worth 257 million dollars in the areas of education and health.

The first program, the Responsive, Ready and Resilient Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) Secondary Education in Punjab Program, is valued at 107 million dollars which includes a seven million dollars grant from the Asian Development Fund.

The second program, Punjab Nursing and Health Workforce Reform Program, is valued at 150 million dollars.

Secretary Ministry of Economic Affairs Muhammad Humair Karim appreciated ADB’s financial support to these critical programs on concessional terms, which would significantly contribute to long-term and sustainable social growth, address the vital educational needs and health services requirement of the Punjab Province.
