
World Bank Country Director Ms. Bolormaa Amgaabazar called on Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik in Islamabad today.
The meeting focused on ongoing and upcoming reforms aimed at ensuring the sustainability of Pakistan’s gas sector.
The World Bank Country Director commended the Petroleum Division for successfully addressing the LNG surplus issue, noting that it was not an easy challenge.
She further informed that the Bank is preparing a comprehensive roadmap for reforms in the gas sector.
The World Bank also expressed its willingness to cooperate in reforms within the LPG sector and to support capacity building of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik thanked the World Bank Country Director for recognizing the government’s efforts in resolving the LNG issue.
