Pakistan, Indonesia hold delegation level talks

Pakistan and Indonesia have held delegation level talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.

The talks focused on strengthening Pakistan-Indonesia economic and investment ties, reviewing potential collaboration opportunities and mutually beneficial projects, including exchange of best practices and cooperation in priority sectors such as health.

Presentations were made in the meeting by the Ministry of Finance, Special Investment Facilitation Council and Board of Investment, outlining Pakistan’s investment landscape, priority sectors and facilitation mechanisms.

Indonesia’s experience and expertise including in sovereign wealth fund structures and downstream investment were also sought.

Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar reaffirmed the shared commitment to longstanding bilateral relations based on mutual respect and cooperation, with mutual investment being a catalyst of Pakistan-Indonesia partnership.

The meeting was attended by the Minister for Health, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Chairman Board of Investment, National Coordinator SIFC, Secretary Finance, Acting Foreign Secretary, and other senior officials.
