A meeting of the Disability Assessment Board was held at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Noorpur Thal under the chairmanship of Medical Superintendent and Surgeon Dr. Ameer Umar.
The meeting was attended by Child Specialist Dr. Saima Bashir Jhumat, Dr. Sundas Mushtaq, and Assistant Director Social Welfare Rana Muhammad Owais Raza.
During the board meeting, a total of 28 individuals were examined. Among them, 5 were assessed with physical musculoskeletal disabilities, 9 with physical neurological disabilities, 6 with hearing impairment, and 2 with visual impairment. Two cases were referred for further evaluation, while 4 individuals remained absent.
The purpose of the medical board was to issue disability certificates to deserving individuals so that they may benefit from the government welfare schemes provided by the Social Welfare Department.
