
At the invitation of Federal Chancellor of Austria Christian Stocker, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has left for Vienna on a two-day official visit.
He is accompanied by a high level delegation comprising members of federal cabinet and senior officials.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral and delegation level talks with the Federal Chancellor to discuss the entire gamut of bilateral relations.
Shehbaz Sharif and the Austrian Federal Chancellor will co-chair a meeting of leading businessmen to increase investment between the two countries.
He will also chair a meeting of the Pak-Austria Business Forum and is scheduled to address a UN event titled ‘Sustainable Development, the Path to Global Peace and Prosperity’.
The Prime Minister will have a meeting with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Pakistan and Austria enjoy cordial and friendly ties, underpinned by shared values of dialogue, cooperation and respect for international law.
This visit marks 70 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and will add new dimensions to the bilateral relations.
