Astana-e-Aliya Mitha Tiwana Sharif’s Sahibzada, Qazi Muhammad Usman, has said that the holy month of Ramadan is a month of Allah Almighty’s boundless mercy, blessings, and forgiveness, which provides practical lessons in patience, piety, compassion, and selflessness.
In a special statement, he said that this sacred month offers the best opportunity for self-reformation, increased devotion, and the fulfillment of social responsibilities. He emphasized that fasting is not merely abstaining from food and drink, but a means of disciplining the soul and purifying the spirit.
He stated that Ramadan instills a sense of empathy and encourages support for the underprivileged and needy segments of society, thereby strengthening social harmony. He urged philanthropists to generously assist deserving individuals during this blessed month, ensure the proper payment of Zakat and charity, and take special care of needy families in their surroundings.
Qazi Muhammad Usman further said that Muslims should strive to improve their character and conduct, avoid lying, backbiting, and other negative behaviors, and promote love, tolerance, and brotherhood.
He added that Ramadan conveys a message of unity and solidarity. If the true spirit of this holy month is understood and implemented in our lives, it can bring about positive change not only at an individual level but also collectively in society.
He prayed that Allah Almighty grants everyone the ability to fully benefit from the blessings of Ramadan.
