Renowned literary and social personality based in France, Ms. Roohi Bano, has been appointed Executive Director Europe of Sharif Academy Germany. On her appointment, people from public, social, educational, literary, and journalistic circles have extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes.
Ms. Roohi Bano, a well-known poetess and social activist living in France, has been associated with Sharif Academy Germany since 2010 as a member. Since 2012, she has been serving as Director Programs France, performing her responsibilities with dedication and excellence. During this period, she has successfully organized numerous literary and cultural programs in France.
She recently visited Pakistan specifically to assist in the arrangements and organization of the Global Convention of Sharif Academy Germany. In recognition of her keen interest in the objectives of the academy and her practical services, she has now been nominated as Executive Director Europe.
Ms. Roohi Bano was born in Wazirabad, District Gujranwala. She received her early education in Wazirabad and completed her graduation from Government College for Women, Gujrat. During her student life, she proved herself to be a talented and intelligent student and actively participated in extracurricular activities. She was elected General Secretary and later President of the Student Union. As an eloquent speaker, she participated in numerous intercollegiate speech competitions, where she earned appreciation, certificates of merit, and distinguished positions.
She obtained her Master’s degree in Urdu from Oriental College Lahore and later earned a Law degree from Punjab University Law College. She was also appointed Chairperson for Women of the Pakistan Youth Talent Council and remained actively involved with various welfare organizations working for public service.
She began her professional career as Principal of The Lahore School. In 1996, she moved to France, where she became associated with several organizations and has been actively serving the Pakistani community.
Mr. Shafiq Murad, CEO of the international literary organization Sharif Academy Germany, congratulated her on behalf of all academy members across the globe and described her as a valuable asset to the institution. He stated that Roohi Bano is a knowledgeable and committed woman who has been blessed with wisdom, intelligence, compassion, and a sincere spirit of service to humanity.
He further expressed confidence that she would play a key role in expanding and strengthening the activities of Sharif Academy Germany across other European countries, producing far-reaching and positive results.
