
A meeting regarding the emergency performance report for the month of March was held at the Punjab Emergency Service Office Khushab under the chairmanship of District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Khushab, Ali Hussain. The meeting reviewed the overall performance of the past month in detail.
During the meeting, the District Officer Rescue informed that the Punjab Emergency Service received a total of 10,222 calls during March, out of which 2,875 were emergency calls. Maintaining its response time, Rescue 1122 successfully rescued 2,917 victims.
According to the report, Rescue 1122 dealt with 396 road traffic accidents, 2,072 medical emergencies, 16 fire incidents, 1 structure collapse, 54 crime-related emergencies, and 329 other emergencies during the month. These other emergencies included workplace injuries, animal and bird rescues, and similar incidents.
Rescue officials stated that 986 victims with minor injuries were provided first aid on the spot, while 1,887 critically affected individuals were given timely medical assistance and shifted to nearby hospitals.
Regarding the patient referral service, 342 patients were shifted from one government hospital to another to ensure better medical treatment, where they were provided necessary medical care.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment to utilizing all available resources to ensure timely and quality emergency services for the public.
