Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Egypt, made a joint call on Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo today.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening its longstanding, brotherly, and multifaceted relations with Egypt.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted with appreciation the positive momentum of exchanges between Pakistan and Egypt, which have contributed to deepening bilateral cooperation across a wide range of sectors.

He also welcomed the Egyptian President’s acceptance of Shehbaz Sharif’s invitation to visit Pakistan.

The meeting provided an opportunity for exchange of views on regional and international developments, particularly the evolving situation in the Middle East, and the importance of advancing peace, stability, dialogue, and diplomatic engagement across the region.

The Egyptian President appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and responsible role in promoting dialogue, de-escalation, and diplomatic engagement in the region.

He commended the contributions of the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, and the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces in fostering regional peace and stability.

The Egyptian President expressed the hope that the ongoing efforts and the next phase of negotiations would contribute to lasting peace, security, and prosperity across the wider region.

The meeting also focused on consultations held under the R4 framework among Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, and underscored the growing significance of the forum for dialogue, consultation, and coordination on issues of common interest.

The meeting expressed confidence that sustained engagement and collective efforts would contribute to peace, stability and economic development while advancing the shared interests of their countries and peoples.

The meeting was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the close bonds of friendship and mutual respect among the participating countries.
