Pakistan’s National Cricket Academy (NCA) Red-Ball Camp is progressing in full swing, with players undergoing intensive training under the supervision of NCA and national red-ball coaching staff.
During net sessions at the LCCA Ground, batters focused on refining their batting techniques, while bowlers worked on improving their line, length, rhythm, and consistency with guidance from the coaching staff.
The camp aims to strengthen the players’ preparations for red-ball cricket ahead of the upcoming international and domestic season, ensuring they are better equipped to perform at the highest level.
Pakistan Test opener Imam-ul-Haq welcomed the long-duration training camp, describing it as a positive initiative before the start of the new season.
He said the camp provides an excellent opportunity for players to improve their fitness, fundamental skills, and overall technique, adding that the extended training programme would significantly benefit the squad.
Imam-ul-Haq noted that it had been a long time since such a comprehensive camp had been organised, and expressed confidence that it would play an important role in enhancing players’ performances.
He also highlighted the importance of close collaboration between the national coaching staff and the academy coaches, saying players work with academy coaches throughout the year. According to Imam, all the coaches are working in great detail with the players, and the benefits of this approach will be reflected in future performances.
