Former candidate for the Provincial Assembly, Mateen Ahmed Qureshi, said that Allah Almighty has placed nine parts of sustenance in trade, which is why the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) also gave preference to business and التجارة. He remarked that those who run their own businesses should remember that in business, “work comes before burden,” whereas in employment, “one becomes a servant first.” Therefore, he urged people to prioritise self-employment, no matter how small the venture may be.
He expressed these views while addressing the inauguration ceremony of a new business centre. He said he was pleased to see that, despite the country’s difficult economic conditions, people were increasingly returning to entrepreneurship. According to him, in the current global economic environment, those who establish and manage their own businesses are more likely to succeed.
Mateen Ahmed Qureshi encouraged people to start their own businesses, regardless of their size, stressing that trade carries immense blessings and opportunities for prosperity. He added that he was delighted to inaugurate the new shop and prayed that Allah Almighty would bless the business with continued growth and success.
He further said that a successful business not only benefits its owners but also creates employment opportunities for others, contributing to the economic well-being of society.
