Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team secured the bronze medal at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 after defeating Bangladesh by 31 runs in the bronze medal match at Korogi Sports Park, Nisshin.
Pakistan scored 145 for 8 in 20 overs after being sent in to bat. Fatima Sana top-scored with 45 runs from 30 balls, including three fours and three sixes. Gull Feroza made 31 off 23 balls, while Aliya Riaz scored 25 off 22 balls and Shawaal Zulfiqar contributed 17 off 27 balls.
In reply, Bangladesh managed 114 for 7 in 20 overs. Sharmin Akhter scored 46 from 45 balls, while Nigar Sultana Joty made 25 off 30 balls.
Pakistan’s bowling attack kept Bangladesh under control, with Umm-e-Hani taking 3 wickets for 10 runs in 4 overs. Ayesha Zafar claimed 2 wickets for 10 runs, while Nashra Sandhu took 4 wickets for 19 runs. Fatima Sana also contributed with 1 wicket for 25 runs.
Pakistan’s 145-8 proved enough as Bangladesh finished on 114-7, giving Pakistan a 31-run victory and the bronze medal at the Asian Games.
