The Second Annual Plastic Volleyball Tournament, held in memory of former councillor late Malik Haji Ilahi Bakhsh Jabhana in Rangpur Baghour, concluded successfully after a series of exciting and closely contested matches. A total of eight teams participated in the tournament. After thrilling competitions, the final was played between Hudali Club and Dharhal Club, with Dharhal Club defeating Hudali Club through an impressive performance to win the final and the championship trophy.
At the closing ceremony, the winning team, Dharhal Club, received a cash prize of Rs30,000 along with the trophy, while the runners-up, Hudali Club, were awarded Rs5,000 and a trophy. The player who delivered the best performance in the final was also presented with a special Man of the Match cash prize of Rs2,000.
Prominent personalities from the area attended the final as chief guests and encouraged the players. They included Numberdar Malik Sajid Abbas Baghour, former Nazim Malik Ghulam Jafar Baghour, Malik Haji Sher Iqbal Baghour, Malik Samar Sabir Baghour, Malik Abid Baghour, Malik Saifullah Baghour Basharat Khel and senior journalist M. Nurdin.
Patron-in-Chief of the tournament, Haji Malik Shamir Jabhana, thanked all the guests, spectators, players and supporters for their cooperation in making the event a success. He especially expressed his gratitude to the local residents, friends of Wari Charagh Khel Rangpur and other supporters. He said that he was committed to promoting sports in the area so that young people could be kept away from drugs and other social evils and a healthy society could be developed.
Malik Sahib Khan Baghour performed his duties as referee efficiently, while Amir Afzal served as match commentator and announcer, captivating the audience with his distinctive voice. Chief Organizer Malik Furqan Jabhana led the tournament administration, while committee members included Malik Yousaf Jabhana, Malik Yaqoob Jabhana, Malik Yasir Jabhana, Malik Iqbal Jabhana and Malik Atif Rehman. Malik Kashif Jabhana, Malik Shafqat Jabhana, Malik Khalid Jabhana, Malik Owais Jabhana and Malik Umar Farooq Jabhana handled various administrative responsibilities.
The successful event provided healthy entertainment for the youth of Rangpur Baghour and served as an important step towards promoting sports and positive recreational activities in the area.
