Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Dr. Musadik Malik has directed to develop a comprehensive framework for animal welfare in the country.
Chairing the first meeting of the Committee on Cruelty to Animals in Islamabad today, he directed to collect data from all provinces and conduct comprehensive legal review to address gaps in existing laws for animal welfare.
Musadik Malik also directed to bring together activists and experts working in the field of animal welfare to use their knowledge and recommendations into policy planning.
