Renowned journalist and social media activist Sohail Chaudhry was awarded a Performance Excellence Certificate in recognition of his outstanding journalistic services and responsible digital media activities. Public, social, educational, literary, and journalistic circles extended their congratulations and best wishes on this achievement.
A special workshop titled “Responsible Use of Digital Media and Countering Hate Speech” was organized by the Organization for Research and Education (ORE). The event was attended by journalists, education experts, internet communication specialists, social leaders, and individuals from various walks of life.
During the workshop, participants were educated on the positive and responsible use of social media, prevention of fake news, and practical measures to counter hate speech and harmful online content. Speakers emphasized that in today’s digital age, spreading authentic and verified information has become a moral responsibility. They urged journalists and social media users to verify every piece of information before sharing it in order to prevent misunderstandings, conflict, and social unrest.
On this occasion, distinguished journalist Sohail Chaudhry was presented with an honorary certificate for his positive use of digital media and his efforts in promoting social awareness.
The event was also attended by senior journalists Rana Muhammad Kamran Safdar and Hanif Qamar, along with office-bearers of the organization. They appreciated the initiative and stated that ORE would continue organizing informative and training-based programs for youth, journalists, and social media users in the future to promote a positive, responsible, and constructive digital culture.
Participants expressed hope that such workshops would play an important role in raising awareness about responsible media use and fostering a healthy and positive environment in society.
